Varmintfeathers' Extinct Mammals Plushies

Hello everyone!! I should have more sample updates to show you here soon but first; our big Inostracevia!!


The pink areas will be mochi minky, and the body will be 10mm fur while the face is 5mm!! I am SO excited to get the sample for this guy rolling! I should get to approve four more samples this week, and then we'll be focusing on Inostracevia, Eohippus, Dire Wolf, Megaloceros, and Quagga! I expect the copied samples won't take as long since they have a pretty solid reference to go off of.

And now, SURVEYS!! I got them thrown together fast so we can try to unlock Inostracevia! He is currently priced at $140 given the per-unit cost and shipping will be much more expensive. You will be able to select him as an add-on in your survey, and if we can get 50 sold we can get him made!!

I will send out a small batch of surveys first to make sure there's no issues with them, and then they will all go out shortly after! I'd expect everyone to have them by Saturday or Sunday, and you'll get an email when you can fill yours out :)

Here are the sample updates I received this week! Once the all the current samples are finalized I'll pay for their manufacturing and then we'll start on the new Eohippus, Dire wolf, and Megaloceros! They're going to copy them from the pictures so I think it won't take as long to get them done. Thylacine is also on his way to me and being delivered tomorrow!!

28" Smilidon Fatalis -  Third pass! I think the next one will be the one!

16" Dimetrodon -  Third pass! We're gonna revert back to the last one and change just a couple things and then he should be good!

16" Thylacoleo -  Second pass + changes!

28" Amphicyon -  Third pass! Just a few more and he'll be perfect!

And finally, the 40" PLUSH VOTE!! I'm really excited to try to make this happen through the pre order store!! My money is on Inostracevia I would literallly die for a 40" gorgonopsid!! Also, for those who missed the campaign or want to help us get that 40" plush, the pre-order store will be going up ASAP! Maybe next week or the week after? I might try to push surveys too so people can add the 40" onto their survey as opposed to creating a separate order :D

WOW I can't believe it you guys!! An HOUR of overtime and we just barely hit 90k! Surely this deserves a reward... I'm sure a lot of you were eyeing that 40" plush stretch goal..

IF I do this, it'll be added as a survey/pre-order unlock! I think it would probably take around 30-40 orders to get it made.

Species suggestions?? :D

Also; the OG manufacturer (known as Jin Jeen) is confident they can replicate Eohippus, Dire Wolf, and Megaloceros in their full glory! Dire wolf will get a couple of fur length changes (so he won't be bald anymore) and Eohippus' shapes will be closer to what they were when he was smaller!!

Hello again everyone!! To help us get those last few goals I've shuffled them around and dropped them from $7,500 each to $5,000 each! Now our next unlock is THYLACINE!! Here is the new unlock order following our last one (Dunkleosteus!)

And some more things to help ease everyone's nerves, here are the changes I sent off for Smilo, Amphy, and Quagga :)


*amphy's colors will also be changed to be more gray like the ref!

Finally, it looks like we will be swapping manus for Eohippus, Megaloceros, and Dire wolf. I will send pictures of the current samples to the new manufacturer and keep you all updated! Updates are always posted in the discord first and folks with access to wips get pinged!

First, some good news! Here's the first pass of Quagga, as well as version 2 of Smilidon and Amphicyon!



For Quagga, I'll tweak the body shape a bit and make the mane the correct length, but otherwise he's looking pretty good! The stripes will come later, right now we're ironing the shapes out :)

Let me know y'alls thoughts for Smilo! The face needs reworked a bit and the colors matched better for sure. I think I'm going to make the fluffy cheek spot bigger, and swap the belly fur for a longer one too!

Amphy is ADORABLE!! I'm gonna tweak the ear shape/location, as well as make the body longer and fatter! 


Alright... now the not so good news. Right now, Eohippus, Dire Wolf, and Megaloceros are being made by a different manufacturer than everybody else. It was fine at first, but they keep springing more and more costs on me and it's getting ridiculous. Since the samples were done I was going to have them shipped to me, but suddenly they need to be safety tested before being sent to me (even though they're samples and not being sold to customers) and the fee for that is $1,000. Previously, I got my bulk order of 14 different designs certified for $550. Then yesterday, there's randomly another $300 I also have to pay for certification. I'm at my wits end with that manufacturer and I'm ready to swap to my OG manu who did the dinosaurs, and is doing every other plush in this campaign except Thylacine.

I can send pictures of the current Eohippus, Dire Wolf, and Megaloceros samples to the OG manu and ask them to copy them, I think they can do a good job. I want to know your guys' opinions with the poll. I really want to swap, but if enough of you want those plush as they are now, I'll try to make it work. I'm sorry this campaign has been a bit of a mess but in the future I'm gonna stick with my one reliable manufacturer.
